Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Claudio Caniggia made the kick off which started today's match. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 2nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SANFINS VLP's Zhuang Fan Zhen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Prada. SANFINS VLP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. SANFINS VLP's David Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. David Prada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute Zhuang Fan Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudio Caniggia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, SANFINS VLP's David Prada got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. SANFINS VLP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Claudio Caniggia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SANFINS VLP's Eduardo Viana got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuang Fan Zhen came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after SANFINS VLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Prada quite easily take care of the ball. Eduardo Viana's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Eduardo Viana hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Prada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Claudio Caniggia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Basílio Silveira struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANFINS VLP. If Eduardo Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
