Çakabey Tümkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Arnulfo Bastiaro sent off a good shot on target. If Arnulfo Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Bastiaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Arnulfo Bastiaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnulfo Bastiaro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nildo Fernandes during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Raaojen got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Fernandes. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mustafa Haydar Yalaz having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Arnulfo Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Arnulfo Bastiaro made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Raaojen getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Arnulfo Bastiaro hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Raaojen got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto George ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guaberto George made a great header on Raaojen's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Çakabey Tümkut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Haydar Yalaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Fernandes came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Bastiaro in the 84th minute of play.
