Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Lesardo Alavedra made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Lesardo Alavedra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lesardo Alavedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils-Åke Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Lesardo Alavedra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Alavés's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Andreasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 39 minutes Deportivo Alavés's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lesardo Alavedra in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alavés's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Figueroa came free, but Nils-Åke Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Lesardo Alavedra tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Nils-Åke Andreasson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 57th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Francisco Carballar advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 57th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lesardo Alavedra in the 60th minute of the match. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Deportivo Alavés's Nils-Åke Andreasson got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Åke Andreasson. Nils-Åke Andreasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 71st minute, Vincent Solera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Åke Andreasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Lesardo Alavedra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Alavés's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lesardo Alavedra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Alavés's Alanzo Verdeja was substituted for Generoso Estrada. In the 89th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Åke Andreasson having to make a save. The Deportivo Alavés fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chile were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
