Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudio Caniggia started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Prada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Viana in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SANFINS VLP's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Prada came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Prada was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Prada. SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but David Prada made a huge save. In the 57th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. David Prada was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 63rd minute of play. After 71 played minutes SANFINS VLP got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Viana. 73 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Prada, 0-3. 76 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Prada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SANFINS VLP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Basílio Silveira in the 85th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but David Prada made a huge save. In the 89th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. SANFINS VLP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Agustín Saelices heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, SANFINS VLP's David Prada got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SANFINS VLP throughout the match.
