Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Avellino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Cauchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, Emanuel Avellino notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Avellino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Hylander in the 18th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Emanuel Avellino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Avellino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Avellino came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Hylander in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Axel Tasis made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Victoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 36th minute of the match, Liu Yuan Cheng got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Victoria's Stephan Blanco tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Fredrik Hylander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Emanuel Avellino made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Avellino came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Moruga's late challenge caught a Victoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Emanuel Avellino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Avellino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Ferrant charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ferrant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Yuan Cheng in the 59th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Hylander came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Hylander took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Alexander Carballo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 79 minutes into the match. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Stephan Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Fredrik Hylander made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 87 minutes into the match, Fredrik Hylander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. 95 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victoria the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Victoria were the better team. Victoria's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
