Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Pedrera came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Chica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Pedrera in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th play minute Chorche Viya came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 1-0. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Salvatore Villaquilambre managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 44 minute of the game. Apolo Chica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chorche Viya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Apolo Chica, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Apolo Chica in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 61st minute of play forced La Vieja Guardia Jrs's goalkeeper Apolo Chica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Apolo Chica in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Vieja Guardia Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvatore Villaquilambre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Chica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 76th minute. When Salvatore Villaquilambre fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Vieja Guardia Jrs's protests and gave Salvatore Villaquilambre a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes La Vieja Guardia Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Salvatore Villaquilambre. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. The La Vieja Guardia Jrs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
