Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Gilberto Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Alexis Thessalonikios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Viriato Cruz however easily saved by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viriato Cruz. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Iosif Briolas hit a great ball. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Viriato Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute Kyriakos Georgopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
