After 9 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Ekialde. In the 13th minute, Severo Venceslas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Bautista in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Segio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Dolfos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Abad kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Bautista in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Wilfredo Segio came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Segio couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Guido Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Guido Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Almirante Brown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Guido Bautista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Guido Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Bautista in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aristides Rayman succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Rayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Severo Venceslas, made in the 94th minute of the game. Guido Bautista struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Almirante Brown. Club Almirante Brown were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
