The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Jerónimo Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jerónimo Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. União Sport Clube Paredes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerónimo Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerónimo Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edwin van der Sar having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerónimo Furtado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Ibon hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Jerónimo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dabi Saens in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. União Sport Clube Paredes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Santino Seco scored to the left of an out of position Edwin van der Sar, making the score, 3-2. In the 54th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Altino Palha charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altino Palha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, União Sport Clube Paredes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altino Palha to maneuver through the defense. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 58th minute. With a little luck, União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Sar saved União Sport Clube Paredes from getting behind. With a little luck, União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin van der Sar was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Axel Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. União Sport Clube Paredes made a substitution. Horia Taşcu replaced Dabi Saens. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. 77 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led to Colombia's Abram Secada getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Santana in the 81st minute of the match. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Horia Taşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kevin Mastache came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Mastache couldn't finish the play. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 92nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Kevin Mastache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edwin van der Sar. The goal made the score 3-4. The Colombia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
