Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxi Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Maxi Moco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maxi Moco in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basilio Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 38th minute of the match. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basilio Garaona in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Maxi Moco sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxi Moco made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Fabricio Bustos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Garaona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Basilio Garaona to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Maxi Moco took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Bustos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lamarque F. C.'s goalkeeper Basilio Garaona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
