After a rather tough play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Ferdinand Ştefoi got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Ştefoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ⚽RAE⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Damian Oneț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Damian Oneț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxim Șerbulea hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Alin Moiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Benito Sanz, was totally fooled by ⚽RAE⚽'s Damian Oneț, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
