Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Desiderio Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Camilo Covarrubias put in a rough tackle. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Luisito Perrando:s penalty. After 8 minutes, Claudio Perpinya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden Dragon FC and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Golden Dragon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Perpinya to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 9th minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisito Perrando's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desiderio Etor in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Golden Dragon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Perpinya didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 27thth minute of the game Desiderio Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Dragon FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Virila came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Dragon FC's Constantino Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Constantino Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 39th minute of the match. Alberto Gisbert struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Constantino Virila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Etor in the 46th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragon FC's Salvador Ascencio got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Etor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Etor in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 62nd minute of play forced Golden Dragon FC's goalkeeper Constantino Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Etor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 78th minute of play forced Golden Dragon FC's goalkeeper Constantino Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Etor in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desiderio Etor in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96thth minute of the game Desiderio Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Despite being the better team, Uruguay failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
