Matheus Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Lindner F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Matheus Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Gelu Roșeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lindner F.C were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gelu Roșeanu took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play forced Lindner F.C's goalkeeper Matheus Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matheus Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Alfonso came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliott Virgin in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Jeremias Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Harald Keane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lindner F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harald Keane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Lindner F.C's Charlie Alfonso. But to his dismay, Charlie Alfonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Gelu Roșeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Salles to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Alfonso came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matheus Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matheus Munhoz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute Elliott Virgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dónald Trump, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Matheus Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Matheus Munhoz threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lindner F.C's Victor Tepedino got a free kick in the 91st minute. A hard shot by Joel Gaona from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Matheus Munhoz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 92nd match minute, Lindner F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliott Virgin to maneuver through the defense. Bilal Sebuk kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Salles's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lindner F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
