When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emre Wölfle made a kick off. Valer Zăvoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pawel Zbydniowski took the corner. The corner ended in Pawel Zbydniowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Zăvoianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
