Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The goal made the score 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Blanco came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 17th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Najarro in the 18th minute of play. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rodolfo Anaya, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute Adolfo Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 30 played minutes Daniel Zorita rounded Tacheros OFF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Najarro in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Tacheros OFF were awarded a corner. Jan-Ove Tunander went to the cornerflag to take it. Rodolfo Anaya made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Matias Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tacheros OFF's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Anaya came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Anaya having to make a save. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Anaya having to interfere. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Christian Najarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Ove Tunander was slow to take the kick. During this time Tacheros OFF's players had a chance to rest. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodolfo Anaya quite easily take care of the ball. Rodolfo Anaya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Iztal in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tacheros OFF's Alejandro Nicholas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
