The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mount Pleasant FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aaron Ramsdal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 7th match minute, Mount Pleasant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cain Barker to maneuver through the defense. Mount Pleasant FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dale Clack in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Dale Clack almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Ramsdal having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mount Pleasant FC's Dallas Kuch got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dallas Kuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Ollie Norwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Dallas Kuch took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ollie Norwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mount Pleasant FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ollie Norwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. When Ollie Norwood came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mount Pleasant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Norwood couldn't finish the play. During the 48th minute of the match Camilo Gaos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Norwood in the 56th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Norwood came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dallas Kuch, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The supporters of Mount Pleasant FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mount Pleasant FC fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Mount Pleasant FC's Dallas Kuch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aaron Ramsdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eavan Mcjunkin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87thth minute of the game Dallas Kuch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute of the game Boris Pegrum made a throw-in which Randell Gledden played forward. Dale Clack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Norwood in the 99th minute of play. Mount Pleasant FC were awarded a corner in the 100th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dale Clack took the corner. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-1 in the 100th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mount Pleasant FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
