Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Shen Guo Yu sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute, Samuel Rojelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 minutes, Placido Gonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cervantes F.C. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cervantes F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Samuel Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Kemen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cervantes F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Berriotxoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 45 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Kemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes Cervantes F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Jose Correa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fausto Kemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Cervantes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Berriotxoa. Celestino Nesto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Cervantes F.C.'s Shen Guo Yu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Kemen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cervantes F.C.'s Fausto Kemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Kemen having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Shen Guo Yu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94thth minute of the game Shen Guo Yu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cervantes F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
