Marius Bălașa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 52nd minute of play. Juventus Țiu were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Boteanu took the corner. Manuel Boteanu made a great header on Juventus Țiu's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 95th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
