The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Bernal. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the game, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Serafin Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serafin Bernal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Serafin Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of the match. Serafin Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Oxarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, 苏海锋 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Godfredo Nuñez made the kick off in the second half. Efraim Gilabert made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. In the 80th minute of the game Harry Winter made a throw-in which Luciano Segio played forward. 85 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Nikola notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Negro in the 90th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Romero. 94 minutes into the match, Aureliano Negro notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
