Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Aden Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 20th match minute, Clube Atlético Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corbett Alonso in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Clube Atlético Paulista's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Aden Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Ödman made a kick off. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Aden Couzens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 58th minute Rickard Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Klaus Nørbom heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pedrinho Aparecido's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Clube Atlético Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Aden Couzens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corbett Alonso in the 69th minute of the match. Corbett Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clube Atlético Paulista made a substitution. Yuri Marquez replaced Pedrinho Aparecido. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. Aden Couzens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Clube Atlético Paulista's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens did a great save. After having played for 84 minutes, Rickard Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Ödman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aden Couzens. That made the score 0-2 after 85 minutes of play. Isak Kongebro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aden Couzens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
