The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Inocencio Lorien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Inocencio Lorien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 played minutes NovaStella FK got a freekick which was hit by Mei Quan Sen. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Häll having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Ek in the 78th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because NovaStella FK had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
