The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ФК КрасноДАР booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerasim Lyutov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleksandr Abdrakhmanov having to make a save. In the 26th minute Gerasim Lyutov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
