Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thobias Helsens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. The Supersaiyan Sorcerers's Glenn Bollaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Supersaiyan Sorcerers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Venezuela's Joshua Secada was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Glenn Bollaert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After having played for 44 minutes, Rolf Van de kauter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
