Baldomero Txindoki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute Serafino Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match, Serafino Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sebastian Villa scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomero Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Pirquitas defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Txindoki. The Pirquitas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Txindoki should have stopped the shot. Luca Espinar's late challenge caught a Pirquitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Espinar helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. Carolo Modestio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Baldomero Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute of play. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. The Pirquitas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafino Azevedo to make the kick off. Pirquitas's Baldomero Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 53rd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Arixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Serafino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carolo Modestio during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baldomero Txindoki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Ezequiel Crispo made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Guaberto Arixo immediately put the ball in play. In the 95th minute, Serafino Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirquitas throughout the match.
