An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play forced Industrial United's goalkeeper Samuel De Pablo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Lolo Dominguez sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Industrial United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel De Pablo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Lolo Dominguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Industrial United's Samuel De Pablo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match, Mundo Rosas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mundo Rosas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mundo Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Industrial United's Mundo Rosas in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Industrial United's Aitor Salazar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Mundo Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mundo Rosas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Aitor Salazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Samuel De Pablo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 92nd minute Mundo Rosas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
