In the 8th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli. AMED's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Flavio Pasquarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 18th minute of play forced AMED's goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli. Flavio Pasquarelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Afiq Shyan sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Pasquarelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Cristian Sancho sped through AMED's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th match minute, AMED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidayat Leng to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Pasquarelli saved AMED from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli. AMED's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. In the 42nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Afiq Shyan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The AMED players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gică Drumeș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Pasquarelli. Flavio Pasquarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Flavio Pasquarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 55th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Pasquarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind AMED's goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Azam Low ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. AMED made a substitution. Merlin Braddell replaced Afiq Shyan. Flavio Pasquarelli made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Pasquarelli was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8. Flavio Pasquarelli stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Sancho came free in front of goal and shot 1-9 to the left of him in the 88 minute. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Pasquarelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador played a much better game than AMED and deserved their victory. The AMED players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
