Peru's Milagros Fraga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cesare Cardillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Modestio in the 20th minute of play. Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesare Cardillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Florentino Nabar in the 24 minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesare Cardillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Julian Murillo managed to work through Lechuguitas F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Julian Murillo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Amancio Clodio made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Florentino Nabar immediately put the ball in play. In the 31st minute, Moises Gayoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 39th minute. Cesare Cardillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorio Modestio made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Florentino Nabar kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Cesare Cardillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes, Laureano Dimas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lechuguitas F.C. and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laureano Dimas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Cesare Cardillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cesare Cardillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of the match. Amancio Clodio's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Clodio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lechuguitas F.C.'s Amancio Clodio got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 96 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. The Lechuguitas F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
