The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.E.T.'s Damián Martínez did a great save. 19 minutes into the game, A.E.T.'s Zinon Galanos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 23rd minute of play forced A.E.T.'s goalkeeper Damián Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damián Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 42nd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Marwan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Damián Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Damián Martínez managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Colombia's Abram Secada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Joshua Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Damián Martínez threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joshua Garrido, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Damián Martínez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 92nd minute. A.E.T.'s Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Garrido in the 96th minute of play. Ignacio Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A.E.T. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
