Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after AMED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Pasquarelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Flavio Pasquarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Pasquarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced AMED's goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Pasquarelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AMED's goalie prevented a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Pasquarelli having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 18th minute of play forced AMED's goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asiz Chian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced AMED's goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Asiz Chian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Pasquarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gică Drumeș got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 42nd minute of play. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gică Drumeș was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Afiq Shyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Drumeș's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gică Drumeș helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AMED getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gică Drumeș hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Pasquarelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AMED's Merlin Braddell was substituted for Afiq Shyan. AMED's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Zorita 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Flavio Pasquarelli was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merlin Braddell in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AMED's Gara Hee was substituted for Gică Drumeș. 83 minutes into the match, Ong Sum notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Pasquarelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AMED throughout the match.
