Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, F.C.BARLAD's Dumitru Surdu tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Nichifor Codruț took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Florin Aalexoaiei's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florin Aalexoaiei helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARLAD's Florin Aalexoaiei got a free kick in the 10th minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Nichifor Codruț sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Codruț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Nichifor Codruț took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Codruț in the 19th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nichifor Codruț sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! Nichifor Codruț walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Nichifor Codruț capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nichifor Codruț really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. If Nichifor Codruț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nichifor Codruț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Nichifor Codruț's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 39 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Surdu who took care of the corner kick. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. When Nichifor Codruț came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the F.C.BARLAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Codruț couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Braulio Castel tried to sneak it across the goal line.

After 53 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Surdu who took care of the corner kick. Nichifor Codruț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, F.C.BARLAD's Nichifor Codruț nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Nichifor Codruț scored 6-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Codruț in the 69th minute of play. Nichifor Codruț blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nichifor Codruț in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After 84th play minutes Nichifor Codruț shot 8-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. 86 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Codruț came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nichifor Codruț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Codruț in the 88th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
