Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fokas Bartzos went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Chile's Orlando Casaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damián Martínez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, A.E.T.'s Zinon Galanos made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mustafa Marwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damián Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 29th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by A.E.T.'s Emil Bank. But to his dismay, Emil Bank quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Abdi Nazmi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mustafa Marwan's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Marwan in the 41st minute. A hard shot 44 in the game by Mustafa Marwan from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Marwan to make the kick off. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute. Guillermo Fontirroig who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Damián Martínez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damián Martínez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damián Martínez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinon Galanos in the 90th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A.E.T. had played much better football throughout.
