Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 4th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Harm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Laurențiu Cinteză in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Volker Harm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gogita Gagnidze hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Laurențiu Cinteză who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Volker Harm. Volker Harm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volker Harm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Pompiliu Roşculeţ tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. FC Hamburg's Volker Harm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thoralf Blohm in the 42nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Volker Harm was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurențiu Cinteză was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Cinteză in the 51st minute of the match. Pompiliu Roşculeţ took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. 60 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's Laurențiu Cinteză sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led FC Hamburg's Manfred Kottsieper to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Kottsieper in the 63rd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Manfred Kottsieper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Kottsieper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Hamburg's Volker Harm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hamburg from getting a goal against them. Laurențiu Cinteză took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. In the 76th minute, Orlando Casaus made a precise shot to the right of Volker Harm. FC Hamburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. FC Hamburg made a substitution. Eduard Hilpert replaced Gogita Gagnidze. FC Hamburg's attentive Eduard Hilpert managed to snatch the ball when Felix Garrido made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. Laurențiu Cinteză scored 5-5 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
