Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in MAFFIAN's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Dahlbom came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Wassberg in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aron Dahlbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Wassberg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aron Dahlbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aron Dahlbom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gunde Svan was slow to take the kick. During this time MAFFIAN's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Gunde Svan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Camilo Gisbert lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 40 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 42nd minute, Thomas Wassberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Wassberg made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Vallin in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when MAFFIAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Vennersten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Dahlbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MAFFIAN's Hugo Nyman was substituted for Rudolf Josefsson. After 58 minutes MAFFIAN's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Broberg during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MAFFIAN reached it. After 75 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gunde Svan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to MAFFIAN's Alex Vallin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Edström came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Nyman hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Edström in the 91st minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Edström in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, MAFFIAN could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
