In the 9th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gerazan Pujana managed to get in a good position for a shot. ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerazan Pujana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cyprian Giec took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Gonzalo Ustoa got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-0. 29 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jakub Gardocki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cyprian Giec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. But to his dismay, Michiel Montens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 86th minute Michiel Montens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Andrzejewski in the 87th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michiel Montens in the 89th minute of play. Michiel Montens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
