Alvaro Jaunti ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Aston Birra's Adolfas Spudulis getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manuel Gibert quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joan Saboya got free with Julio Vera in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Gibert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Etxatxu De Pablo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 19th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Joan Saboya took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, Aston Birra's Manuel Gibert got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Manuel Gibert made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Aston Birra's goalkeeper Manuel Gibert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After 78 minutes, Alejandro Martínez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aston Birra and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Aston Birra got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Martínez. 80 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Gibert. After 90 played minutes Aston Birra got a freekick which was hit by Joan Saboya. Manuel Gibert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Manuel Gibert in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
