In the 3rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Camilo Gisbert made in the 11th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Kurtuluş Senih sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Kurtuluş Senih scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Kurtuluş Senih nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robustiano Eron charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robustiano Eron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Juan Sebastián Puig with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 30 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Helge Kozub sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner. Seçkin Öksüzoğlu went to the cornerflag to take it. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Seçkin Öksüzoğlu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Kurtuluş Senih got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play forced Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Seçkin Öksüzoğlu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Bihar to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Bihar came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seçkin Öksüzoğlu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Benedicto Bihar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Batıkan Muhsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 66th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC. Benedicto Bihar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 3-0. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seçkin Öksüzoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Camilo Gisbert's late challenge caught a Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aykut Canel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match Seçkin Öksüzoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. When Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Aykut Canel in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Aykut Canel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
