Bertus Waldijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertus Waldijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 7th minute of the match. Mexico's attentive Alberto Tafalla managed to snatch the ball when Twan Tieleman made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Arnold Boer hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Bertus Waldijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Koos de Kort recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Koos de Kort showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertus Waldijk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of play. Nico-Jan Roeles hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Arnold Boer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Twan Tieleman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. René van Hintum hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Bertus Waldijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FFC Merainies 03 defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertus Waldijk. The FFC Merainies 03 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertus Waldijk should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bertus Waldijk. The goal made the score 1-2. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bertus Waldijk made a huge save. With a little luck, FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FFC Merainies 03's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Alberto Tafalla to a score. 1-3 in the 71st minute. After 75 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertus Waldijk was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Bertus Waldijk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bertus Waldijk was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Bertus Waldijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FFC Merainies 03 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
