Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ruben Gay started the match with the kick off. Gonzo Eleizalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some careless play in the ☆Charallave☆ defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzo Eleizalde. The ☆Charallave☆ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzo Eleizalde should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonzo Eleizalde. Gonzo Eleizalde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ruben Gay in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonzo Eleizalde. Gonzo Eleizalde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 21st minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonzo Eleizalde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Gonzo Eleizalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of the match. Gonzo Eleizalde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonzo Eleizalde was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Gay in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonzo Eleizalde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Eleizalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ☆Charallave☆'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzo Eleizalde came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ☆Charallave☆'s Salomone Floranes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gonzo Eleizalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Regis Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlanda Orantes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gonzo Eleizalde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Camilo Morante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Andino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonzo Eleizalde. That made the score 0-10 in the 70 minute of play. In the 73rd minute Ruben Gay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darien Beltran in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzo Eleizalde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, ☆Charallave☆'s Gonzo Eleizalde got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gonzo Eleizalde. 0-12. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonzo Eleizalde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-13. Salomone Floranes's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salomone Floranes helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes ☆Charallave☆ got a freekick which was hit by Salomone Floranes. In the 95th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonzo Eleizalde skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute, Salomone Floranes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
