The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Luo Kuan Bin in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Wallace FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ramiro Liberto hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Liberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
