Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Álmos Csáki took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 6th minute. Antal Pádár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Álmos Csáki scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álmos Csáki in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 21st minute of play forced Rapid's goalkeeper Antal Pádár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antal Pádár. Antal Pádár dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Pál Sugár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álmos Csáki in the 44th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Álmos Csáki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rapid defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antal Pádár. The Rapid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antal Pádár should have stopped the shot. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álmos Csáki in the 60th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Marton, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Krisztián Sinkó was slow to take the kick. During this time Rapid's players had a chance to rest. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Krisztián Sinkó took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ferenc Kásás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Pádár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Luis Andino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antal Pádár. That made the score 1-4 after 75 minutes of play. Antal Pádár made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Antal Pádár firmly grabbed it by the left post. Antal Pádár made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Rapid's Antal Pádár got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Marton to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antal Pádár having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antal Pádár. Antal Pádár dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rapid.
