Leonardo Leoz made in the 2nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Shuspendemo's Mihail Tihomirov. In the 14th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Shuspendemo's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Ismael Vellito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Vellito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Boselli. Mauro Boselli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute, Brooks Willison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shuspendemo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mexico booed when Shuspendemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Erauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mauro Boselli sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Mauro Boselli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Mauro Boselli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Shuspendemo's Brooks Willison got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some careless play in the Shuspendemo defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Vellito. The Shuspendemo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Vellito should have stopped the shot. Mauro Boselli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

56 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Vellito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shuspendemo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Boselli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th match minute, Shuspendemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Erauso to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Vellito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shuspendemo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
