Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Großberghofen's Sven Appenzeller started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Bechert hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Großberghofen's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Bangert came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Rufus Bangert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Sven Appenzeller tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Markus Bechert fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Großberghofen's protests and gave Markus Bechert a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Rufus Bangert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Rouco's late challenge caught a Großberghofen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Rouco helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Großberghofen's Gerd Della got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dante Lacasa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Appenzeller in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerd Della was slow to take the kick. During this time Großberghofen's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Großberghofen's Gerd Della to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Bangert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 47 played minutes Großberghofen got a freekick which was hit by Markus Bechert. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Luca Zorita's late challenge caught a Großberghofen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Großberghofen's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Rufus Bangert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Großberghofen's Irmin Michalsky. But to his dismay, Irmin Michalsky quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rufus Bangert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 58th minute of the match. In the 58th play minute Luca Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rufus Bangert. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irmin Michalsky in the 65th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irmin Michalsky in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Großberghofen were awarded a corner. Gerd Della went to the cornerflag to take it. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Eberl in the 74th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irmin Michalsky in the 76th minute of play. Sven Appenzeller kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Eberl, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rufus Bangert. Großberghofen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Großberghofen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Rufus Bangert, making the score, 2-3. Nils Hopp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Großberghofen throughout the match.
