Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sergio Longhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Longhi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Longhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Eriberto Maiorga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Longchamps club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Sergio Longhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Leoncio's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Leoncio helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 彭榕威 in the 48th minute of play. The Longchamps club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Maiorga made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Aurelio Urdaspal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Longhi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Intxixu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 彭榕威 went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Nicanor Gutxi's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Gutxi helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Longchamps club got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Gutxi. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 彭榕威 in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 彭榕威 in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Longchamps club's Sergio Longhi got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sergio Longhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Longhi was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Maiorga in the 78th minute of the match. Sergio Longhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Longchamps club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Longchamps club.
