Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Axel Tasis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Pablo Hunfredo made a huge save. Prospero Quin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bar-Met FC. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pablo Hunfredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prospero Quin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Pablo Hunfredo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cleto Domenec kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 23rd minute of play forced Bar-Met FC's goalkeeper Pablo Hunfredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Estebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Quin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bar-Met FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Bar-Met FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Quin to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Jeremias Bitxintxo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bar-Met FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bar-Met FC's Evaristo Estebe got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Hunfredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jeremias Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prospero Quin to strike the kick off in the second half. Pablo Hunfredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Costa Rica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cleto Domenec fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 90 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleto Domenec. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bar-Met FC's goalie prevented a goal. Conrado Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
