Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Eleven Nation Army got a freekick which was hit by Åke Ekelund. The supporters of Eleven Nation Army booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viggo Lundkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viggo Lundkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Helge Brun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Qian Xing Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Eleven Nation Army got a freekick which was hit by Olof Högström. Helge Brun struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eleven Nation Army. After 37 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Qian Xing Wei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Åke Ekelund hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helge Brun in the 43rd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Helge Brun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Helge Brun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viggo Lundkvist in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Åke Ekelund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Brun in the 65th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Brun in the 67th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Eleven Nation Army booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Qian Xing Wei was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Helge Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Helge Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Brun in the 89th minute of play. Helge Brun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eleven Nation Army had played much better football throughout.
