Domingos Andrades short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Robledo having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game Domingos Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Robledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. Marcelo Robledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 46th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Robledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Pawel Leper charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pawel Leper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, GKS Pszczyna's Pawel Leper got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ecuador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
