Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Santos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
