Nistor Pantelimon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Yellow Flag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Mironov didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Isac Spiridon sent off a good shot on target. Nistor Pantelimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yellow Flag's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
