Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 2 minutes, Terence Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terence Nicholas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Small. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Smallwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 24th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terence Nicholas in the 29th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smallwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Nicholas in the 38th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Lanny Gilmore reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-1. The supporters of Colombia booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warren Ruiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Joshua Garrido sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Smallwood skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Aaron Smallwood in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Cesar Small stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Cesar Small tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaron Smallwood was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Axel Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Aaron Smallwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 62nd minute. Aaron Smallwood was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 64 minute of play. Pascual Carballar charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Carballar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Lanny Gilmore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. With his leg Aaron Smallwood managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 79th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Lanny Gilmore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore. But to his dismay, Lanny Gilmore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Kevin Mastache hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. Warren Ruiz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesar Small during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Small. In the 93rd match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Richardson to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 95th minute of play.
