After a defensive mix-up in MALAIA FDFDF's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Renato Donatello came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 minutes, Leopoldo Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MALAIA FDFDF and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Donatello having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Maurinho Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Donatello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Donatello having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello. Paulo Renato Donatello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo Renato Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Antunes to make the kick off. After some careless play in the MALAIA FDFDF defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Donatello. The MALAIA FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Donatello should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Daniel Zorita sped through MALAIA FDFDF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Donatello. In the 61st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Renato Donatello despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Paulo Renato Donatello made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Renato Donatello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Renato Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, MALAIA FDFDF's Vicente Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Renato Donatello came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 69th minute. With a little luck, MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Donatello having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 90th minute of play forced MALAIA FDFDF's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than MALAIA FDFDF and deserved their victory. The MALAIA FDFDF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
